The card excels at foreign currency spending, offering 6X DBS$ (equivalent to HK$2 per mile) when you meet the HK$20,000 monthly spending threshold. Without hitting this threshold, foreign currency spending still earns a respectable 3X DBS$, while local retail and e-wallet transactions earn 1X. There are some important limitations to note. The monthly extra reward on the bonus portion is capped at DBS$240, with an annual cap of DBS$2,880. E-wallet spending through PayMe, WeChat Pay, and Alipay counts toward the monthly threshold but only up to HK$5,000. Foreign currency transactions include any non-HKD and non-MOP spending, whether online purchases from overseas merchants or in-person transactions abroad.
